TMD's Aim

TMD (Turkish Deep Foundations Association) is the sole association representing the industry internationally, and it is a member of the European Federation of Foundation Contractors (EFFC), established in 2022 with the participation of leading contractors and suppliers in the sector, totaling 16 members.

To enhance safety, labor, and technical competence standards within the scope of Geotechnical and Foundation Engineering, TMD is committed to developing, contributing to the formation of relevant European standards, conducting studies for their revision and implementation, sharing experiences gained in special geotechnical works among its members, supporting or leading innovative initiatives within the association's fields of interest. Additionally, TMD aims to:

1. Establish working groups to facilitate the development of safety, labor, and technical competence standards in Geotechnical and Foundation Engineering.
2. Build and maintain an effective network among members of the European Federation of Foundation Contractors (EFFC).
   
3. Represent the views of its members among the European Commission, professional organizations, and other federations and third parties.
   
4. Ensure the adoption and implementation of ethical principles in business practices, particularly within the member community and throughout the industry.
   
5. Communicate its opinions and recommendations to national and international institutions, as well as to the public through social media.
   
6. Enhance collaboration and solidarity among its members, provide solutions to common problems, and protect the rights of its members.
   
7. Establish practical collaborations with individuals and organizations both domestically and internationally to contribute to the development of Foundation Engineering in Turkey.
   
8. Contribute to the legal, institutional, and financial infrastructure development of Foundation Engineering in Turkey.
   

TMD was founded to conduct joint activities with contractors, subcontractors, machinery and material suppliers, designers, consultants, and companies/laboratories conducting ground investigations that operate in the field of foundation engineering in Turkey. The association aims to contribute to the growth and establishment of the legal, institutional, and financial infrastructure of Foundation Engineering in the country.
